Today I was planning to just do my make up essentials but I wanted to make this post more festive as it is only 10 days until Christmas now! So as most of my essentials will be used on Christmas Day anyway, I thought I would show you the make up I will be wearing on Christmas Day.
So the first thing I apply after moisturising is primer and the primer that I am using at the minute is the Emite Make Up Diamond Heart base primer, which if you’ve read my past few posts you will have seen I got in one of my Glossyboxes. After primer, I then apply my foundation and I have been using the Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation in the shade Vanilla. I have only been using this foundation for the past 2 or 3 months I think but I really like it so I would definitely recommend this foundation. I will then use concealer and I have been using the Lasting Perfection from Collection for so long! This has almost run out now so as much as I like this concealer, I think I will be getting a different one and trying that one out next. I blend all of these in using my beauty blender.
Moving on to my eye make up, these are the only two Naked Palettes I have but these are by far my favourite palettes. I usually have brown eyeshadow on my eyes so I will obviously use the first Naked palette, I won’t go into too much detail on these because I am sure you’ve seen them so many times before! My favourite combination of colours in the first Naked palette are ‘Naked’ all over my lid, ‘Buck’ blended into the crease and either ‘Halfbaked’ or ‘Smog’ patted across the lid to add a shimmer, it depends on whether I just want a shimmer over the top or whether I want to keep it dark. In the Naked 3 palette, my favourite combination is to put ‘Limit’ all over my lid, ‘Nooner’ blended into the crease and either ‘Burnout’ or ‘Liar’ patted over the lid to add a shimmer again. As you can tell, I love to have a shimmery eye!
To finish off my eyes, I will wear mascara and eyeliner. I don’t always use eyeliner, it depends on how dark my eye make up already is from the eyeshadows I use. But when I do use it, I use the Barry M Kohl Pencil. I use a combination of two mascaras, I am using the Nars Audacious Mascara and the Collection Volumising Mascara, which is my favourite one and it is so cheap as well!
To finish my make up off, I will use a powder to set everything, however I’m not 100% sure what powder this is as the name has rubbed off because it’s been in my make up bag for so long but I’m pretty sure its the one that Rimmel do. I will then use a bronzing powder and I have been loving this one from Rimmel which is the Sun Shimmer Compact powder, it looks quite subtle and is easy to blend. I will then use a highlighter just on my cheekbones to add a shimmer to it and I am loving this one from the Balm which is the Mary Lou Manizer.
To finish my make up off I will add a colour to my lips. I tend to wear nude colours and these are actually the only Mac products I own but this is definitely my favourite lip colour that I own. The lipstick is Velvet Teddy which I love to wear on it’s own, however I will sometimes use the matching lip liner which is Spice. I will sometimes use Spice on it’s own as well and I love these colours so I would definitely recommend these colours if you are looking to buy some Mac products.
So this is all of the products that I will using to do my make up on Christmas Day. I hope you enjoyed this post 🙂
