Firstly, I just want to mention my absence from my blog! Uni work and assignments well and truly caught up with me and I had absolutely no spare time! But I am back and I have planned and written so many blog posts so there shouldn’t be any more breaks from blogging from me! So this past weekend, me and my best friend Sophie went to the Clothes Show in Birmingham. We spent the day there shopping, meeting Bloggers and watching the fashion show. I absolutely loved it and would love to go again next year, but I thought I would show you all what I got whilst I was at the Clothes Show.
I have been after trying a tooth whitening product for a while now as I would love my teeth the be whiter and to test whether products actually work. I have heard so many things about the brand CocoWhite, that when I saw they had a stand at the Clothes Show and their products were discounted, I had to get some! I picked up one box of the 14 Day Course in Minty Fresh. I haven’t tried them yet but I’m sure they will be a blog post about whether they worked or not.

We then went to the Barry M stand, where they were selling a goody bag with so many products in! I can’t remember the price of the goody bag but I know there was so much in it for the price! We got 6 nail polishes – one matte, two normal ones, one gelly one, a lolly gloss one and finally an aquarium glitter one (which is definitely my favourite). We also got four lip products – a lip balm, a lip gloss, a lip crayon and a lipstick. Again, I haven’t tried these yet but they are all in a orange/coral colour. The final thing in the bag was a Contour, Blush and Highlight Palette. I probably only have one blush so I’m excited to try this one out and see if it’s any good.

I then got some of the most beautiful false eyelashes ever! They are from a brand called So Versailles Lashes and the ones I have are in the style Empire. I’m saving these ones for my 21st Birthday Party in January but I can’t wait to wear them!
The next make up bits that I got were these gorgeous sparkles from a brand called Blush Sparkles. I will tweet a link to their page as well so check my Twitter if you want to check them out! I got the colours Champagne, Rose and I can’t remember the name of the dark shade but it’s so beautiful and I think that one especially would look good for a night out. They were such a good price as well, £3.50 for one tub of sparkles!

The final things I got are from the brand Cute Nutrition, which is a brand I have wanted to try for so long, but I didn’t know if I would like the taste of their shakes. At the Clothes Show you were able to sample the shakes to see which flavour you liked the most. So I picked up the Strawberry Daiquiri flavour in the Sculpt and Tone powders. They had a deal that if you bought one tub of powder, you get another free along with the really cute shaker! Again, I’m not starting this until after the new year but hopefully I will be able to see some results and will be able to keep you updated.

This months Birchbox is a collaboration with Tatler Magazine based on products needed for the party season! I love the design of this month’s box!

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar Primer – RRP £15
I have been wanting a Lip Primer for so long now but it’s just one of those products that I don’t actually want to buy. However, with the amount of times I wear liquid lipsticks I definitely need a lip primer. And I have heard so many good things about Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics so I am looking forward to using this, especially for nights out over the party season.

Wet Brush – RRP £11.99
Again, this is a product that I have heard so much about but have never got one for myself. This brush is designed to detangle your hair whether it’s wet or dry. I know that once I’ve washed my hair it’s horrible to brush through because it’s so tangled so hopefully this will make it a little easier.

Nuxe Creme Prodigieuse – RRP £21
Moisturisers are something that I am always buying and trying out. After trying the Nuxe Lip Balm, I was so excited to see this in this months Birchbox and I can’t wait to start using it. This moisturiser is designed to boost your skins antioxidant levels and restore hydration, which is something I definitely need (especially after a night out!).

Beauty Protector Protect & Detangle – RRP £18.50
Leave in Conditioner’s are something that I have never tried before but this one states to detangle, conditions and smoothes hair whilst also protecting it throughout the day. It sounds great, as my hair is so dry at the minute so I can’t wait to see the results from this.

bbrowbar Brow Pencil – RRP £13
Again, eyebrows are probably the part of my make up that I take the least amount of time on, sometimes I don’t even touch them! I know, am I even a Beauty Blogger?! But my eyebrows are so thick, I feel that sometimes when I add product it just makes them look too heavy. However, pencils like this are perfect to fill in any sparse areas of my brows and create the illusion that there is hair there, so I can’t wait to test it!

So as you probably know, I love to shop! Especially when it’s for new make up products, and over the past month I have been purchasing new make up products, that I thought I would share with you! I might do this type of post every few months or so or whenever I feel that I have bought enough products for a post so let me know if you like it!
The first thing  I ordered was this Dose of Colors Eyedeal Duo in the shade Shell. So this is a primer and a loose pigment, so basically you apply to primer where you want the glitter to be on your eyes. I usually apply the primer with my finger as I tend to keep it in the inner corner of my eyes. Then you apply the loose pigment over the top of where you applied the primer. I have been using this all the time! I used it for the wedding I went to last weekend, when I went out in Preston, literally all the time! And I have had so many compliments when I’ve used this, I definitely want more shades. I got mine HERE

Sticking to the theme of glitters, after I loved the Dose of Colors one so much, I found this one on Asos. It is the Monki Loose Glitter in the shade Goldeny. Before I can use this I actually need to get a glitter glue, but I can’t wait to use this one! I thought it’d be the perfect colour for the festive season that is coming up soon.

Liquid Lipsticks are something that I have become obsessed with! If you haven’t seen a previous post on my Liquid Lipstick Collection, you should check it out HERE. However, I’ve got so many more since then that I think I need to do an updated one! The first lipstick I got was Bombshell by Huda Beauty. This is such a pretty nude colour, which you also probably know I love!
Top: Bombshell
Bottom: Gossip Gurl
The next is Huda Beauty’s Gossip Gurl, which I’m not going to lie I pretty much bought for the name! I love the tv show Gossip Girl, but when the colour came I fell in love. Pinks aren’t really a colour I tend to wear, I don’t know why but I love this one! I got them both HERE
Top to Bottom – Bombshell, Gossip Gurl & Skinny Dip
The final lip product I got is the Jouer Lip Topper in Skinny Dip. I don’t even think I need to say anything about this, it’s beautiful! This would also be perfect for the festive season and I got this HERE
The final thing in this little haul is the Morphe 35O palette. Now, if you love make up as much as I do you will probably know that it is so hard to get your hands on this palette. But I finally did and I’m in love! I haven’t had a proper chance to play with it yet as I’ve not been well since getting it so haven’t really worn make up. But just look at the colours!
So that is everything that I have purchased recently! Also, I wanted to quickly mention that my blog has now had over 10,000 views!! I can’t believe it has been read that many times, so thank you! And I will be doing a giveaway on my Twitter before Christmas so keep an eye out for that!

This month’s Birchbox is based on what your star sign is and are based on the astrological elements – Earth, Air, Fire and Water. I think the box designs were different for each of the 4 elements, I got the Air box as my star sign is Aquarius. In October’s box we got 6 products, 2 of which were full sized products so I’m impressed!

Lord & Berry 20100 Maxi Matte Crayon Lipstick in Intimacy – RPP £12
If I’m completely honest, I’m not a massive fan of getting lip crayons in my subscription boxes, only because I don’t tend to use them as I prefer liquid lipsticks. I think the colour is lovely though, it is like a pink/berry kind of colour, it kind of reminds me a little bit of Candy K by Kylie Cosmetics colour wise. I’ve heard some really good things about the brand Lord & Berry too so who knows, maybe this will be one lip crayon that I actually do use!

Batiste Stylist Oomph My Locks XXL Volume Spray – RRP – £4.29
If you follow my blog regularly, especially these Birchbox posts, you will know that I got this hairspray last month. So I’m not too thrilled that it is also in October’s box too, however Birchbox did email me and say that this was a mistake and they are fixing something for next months box for me. Also, I guess you can never have enough hairspray so I can’t complain too much!

Doux Me Pure Spring Mist – RRP £16
This spray is a mist for your face and allows you to just refresh your face with a little spritz. It is supposed to be very soothing and hydrating for you skin also. I had one of these kind of sprays from Lush and I loved it but it ran out not long ago, so I will definitely be using this as a replacement.

NKD SKN Pre-Shower Tan or Daily Tan Moisturiser – RRP from £10
I love the look of this tan! Basically, you can either apply it 10 minutes before a shower and then wash it off or use it as a moisturiser and the tan develops over 4-8 hours. I have just ran out of the Vita Liberata tan that I got in a previous Birchbox so I’m so excited to start trying this one out.

Number 4 Fluoro5 Elixer Restore & Repair Oil – RRP £18
My hair is so dry and is in desperate need of some TLC. I always used to apply oil to the ends of my hair to keep it hydrated and I don’t know why I stopped. So when I noticed this in my Birchbox I was so excited and used it that night! You don’t need to put a lot on and I only tend to put oils on the ends of my hair, to stop the ends from looking so dry.

Birchbox Eyebrow Brush – RRP £1.99
Believe it or not, an eyebrow brush is something that I don’t even own. One side of this brush is like bristles and the other is like a plastic comb. This brush will be perfect for tidying up the brows before applying product, and then combing through once product has been applied to make sure that it is all neat and even. And for £1.99 you can’t go wrong!

I am obsessed with this months box design and I am so excited to properly start using the products that I got this month. I can’t wait to see what comes in next months box! Also, I am planning on doing a giveaway over on my Twitter page when I reach 2000 followers so make sure you’re following me over there… @BethCarney_x

Washing and Cleaning my make up brushes is one of the jobs that I absolutely hate doing and I definitely put off doing it for as long as I can… Don’t tell me you don’t do that too! So when I found the Beauty Essentials Account on Twitter and noticed that they needed bloggers to review their Shadow Switch Dry Brush Cleaner, I had to get in touch with them! They sent over the product for me to review, however all of the opinions on my blog are always my own.

Beauty Essentials are a team that are creating a range of Essential Beauty Tools and I can’t wait to see what other products they come up with! The Shadow Switch enables you to quickly clean your make up brush to allow you to use the same make up brush with different colours, hence the name Shadow Switch.

If I’m honest, I was a little bit sceptical about this product when I first tried it as I didn’t think it would actually work, however it really does! I used this with a red eye shadow, just to test how well the product worked with darker colours and it got rid of the shadow. It did leave a little bit in the bristles but that is what a deep clean is for. The brush was still so good to use with other shadows straight afterwards and didn’t leave any red shadow within the other that I chose to use afterwards.

I now tend to use this everyday, when I can’t be bothered to clean my make up brushes completely, I just reach for this and quickly swirl the brush around in the pot and it gets rid of all of the colour left on the brush, leaving it clean for you to use a different colour. This product will be available in Sephora and on the Beauty Essentials website so I will let you all know when it is available to buy.

I would definitely recommend trying this product out when it launches, especially if you are like me and put off giving your make up brushes a deep clean for as long as you can. This is the perfect little tool to quickly clean your brushes.
