First of all I just want to say a massive thank you to both Threads & Co and Made Management for sending me these beautiful lashes! I’m so in love with them and as I’ve recently started applying lashes and wearing them on nights out, I definitely couldn’t say no to these lashes!Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

This months Birchbox is a collaboration with Tatler Magazine based on products needed for the party season! I love the design of this month’s box!

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar Primer – RRP £15
I have been wanting a Lip Primer for so long now but it’s just one of those products that I don’t actually want to buy. However, with the amount of times I wear liquid lipsticks I definitely need a lip primer. And I have heard so many good things about Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics so I am looking forward to using this, especially for nights out over the party season.

Wet Brush – RRP £11.99
Again, this is a product that I have heard so much about but have never got one for myself. This brush is designed to detangle your hair whether it’s wet or dry. I know that once I’ve washed my hair it’s horrible to brush through because it’s so tangled so hopefully this will make it a little easier.

Nuxe Creme Prodigieuse – RRP £21
Moisturisers are something that I am always buying and trying out. After trying the Nuxe Lip Balm, I was so excited to see this in this months Birchbox and I can’t wait to start using it. This moisturiser is designed to boost your skins antioxidant levels and restore hydration, which is something I definitely need (especially after a night out!).

Beauty Protector Protect & Detangle – RRP £18.50
Leave in Conditioner’s are something that I have never tried before but this one states to detangle, conditions and smoothes hair whilst also protecting it throughout the day. It sounds great, as my hair is so dry at the minute so I can’t wait to see the results from this.

bbrowbar Brow Pencil – RRP £13
Again, eyebrows are probably the part of my make up that I take the least amount of time on, sometimes I don’t even touch them! I know, am I even a Beauty Blogger?! But my eyebrows are so thick, I feel that sometimes when I add product it just makes them look too heavy. However, pencils like this are perfect to fill in any sparse areas of my brows and create the illusion that there is hair there, so I can’t wait to test it!

This month’s Birchbox is based on what your star sign is and are based on the astrological elements – Earth, Air, Fire and Water. I think the box designs were different for each of the 4 elements, I got the Air box as my star sign is Aquarius. In October’s box we got 6 products, 2 of which were full sized products so I’m impressed!

Lord & Berry 20100 Maxi Matte Crayon Lipstick in Intimacy – RPP £12
If I’m completely honest, I’m not a massive fan of getting lip crayons in my subscription boxes, only because I don’t tend to use them as I prefer liquid lipsticks. I think the colour is lovely though, it is like a pink/berry kind of colour, it kind of reminds me a little bit of Candy K by Kylie Cosmetics colour wise. I’ve heard some really good things about the brand Lord & Berry too so who knows, maybe this will be one lip crayon that I actually do use!

Batiste Stylist Oomph My Locks XXL Volume Spray – RRP – £4.29
If you follow my blog regularly, especially these Birchbox posts, you will know that I got this hairspray last month. So I’m not too thrilled that it is also in October’s box too, however Birchbox did email me and say that this was a mistake and they are fixing something for next months box for me. Also, I guess you can never have enough hairspray so I can’t complain too much!

Doux Me Pure Spring Mist – RRP £16
This spray is a mist for your face and allows you to just refresh your face with a little spritz. It is supposed to be very soothing and hydrating for you skin also. I had one of these kind of sprays from Lush and I loved it but it ran out not long ago, so I will definitely be using this as a replacement.

NKD SKN Pre-Shower Tan or Daily Tan Moisturiser – RRP from £10
I love the look of this tan! Basically, you can either apply it 10 minutes before a shower and then wash it off or use it as a moisturiser and the tan develops over 4-8 hours. I have just ran out of the Vita Liberata tan that I got in a previous Birchbox so I’m so excited to start trying this one out.

Number 4 Fluoro5 Elixer Restore & Repair Oil – RRP £18
My hair is so dry and is in desperate need of some TLC. I always used to apply oil to the ends of my hair to keep it hydrated and I don’t know why I stopped. So when I noticed this in my Birchbox I was so excited and used it that night! You don’t need to put a lot on and I only tend to put oils on the ends of my hair, to stop the ends from looking so dry.

Birchbox Eyebrow Brush – RRP £1.99
Believe it or not, an eyebrow brush is something that I don’t even own. One side of this brush is like bristles and the other is like a plastic comb. This brush will be perfect for tidying up the brows before applying product, and then combing through once product has been applied to make sure that it is all neat and even. And for £1.99 you can’t go wrong!

I am obsessed with this months box design and I am so excited to properly start using the products that I got this month. I can’t wait to see what comes in next months box! Also, I am planning on doing a giveaway over on my Twitter page when I reach 2000 followers so make sure you’re following me over there… @BethCarney_x

As of yesterday, it is officially Autumn! I’m so excited and I think Autumn is my favourite season of the year. I’ve had quite a few Make Up Looks planned for this time of year, ones that I haven’t even tried before either. So this is my first look that I created, I really wanted to do this look as Berry/Dark lips are always in at the time of the year.
I started with using the L’Oreal Infallible Mattifying Base Primer as I didn’t want the skin to look too dewy with this look. I then used my Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation as I feel like this foundation gives me really good coverage. I used the Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer to highlight under my eyes and down the centre of my face. I also used the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer just to carve out my brows.
I used the Barry M Brow Kit to lightly fill in my brows and set this with my Rimmel Clear Brow Gel.
To contour, I have been loving using the Seventeen Define & Conquer Contour Kit. I have also been using the Highlighting Powder in the kit to set all of my concealer in place. I also used the Rimmel Bronzing Sun Shimmer Powder to add a bit of colour on my forehead, cheeks and around my jaw line.
I used the Collection Speedy Highlighter to highlight. I find if I use a cream highlight and then apply a powder highlighter over the top, the highlight is so much more intense. So I went over this with the Balm’s Mary Lou Manizer Highlighter.
For the eyes I mainly used the Violet Voss Holy Grail Eyeshadow Palette, I used the shades Transition, Bestie, R U Kitten Me and Brownie Points in the crease and blended all of these together. I then went into the Anastasia Modern Renaissance palette and used one of the shimmery shades.
To finish off the eyes I used the L’Oreal Super Liner and the Maybelline Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara. Finally, for the main part of this make up look I used the Kylie Cosmetics Liquid Lipstick in Leo. I love this lipstick and I think this make up look is perfect for the Autumn Time. Let me know if you recreate a similar kind of look!

If you’ve followed my blog for a while, you will remember my post in February when I got my first Kylie Cosmetics Liquid Lipstick in Mary Jo K. Since then I have become obsessed with her Liquid Lipsticks and have wanted to try lots of the shades she came out with. Recently, I ordered the 6 Mini Matte Liquid Lipstick set that she released in her Birthday Collection, as it included 4 shades that I really wanted to try, as well as 2 that I already have.
L-R: Exposed, Dolce, Candy, Koko, Kristen & Leo
The colour Exposed is pretty much the perfect nude colour. It is more of a peachy/orangey toned nude compared to the other nudes like Dolce and Candy. This is my favourite shade out of the whole set of 6 and I will definitely be ordering the full size one of this soon!
Dolce K
Dolce K was one of the first colours that Kylie came out with and I still hadn’t tried it! It is a lot more of a cool toned brown kind of colour on me but I really like it. I don’t have a colour like this in my collection so far.
Candy K
Candy K is a shade that I already had so I know that I already liked this one! It is more pinky than Dolce K but not as pink as Koko K. This is like a perfect nude colour for me with a hint of brown in it too. The mini versions of the 2 shades that I already have are perfect for when I wear them on nights out, I can take the mini one out so I’m not carrying the bigger one with me.
Koko K
Again, I already had the shade Koko K and love it. It is much more a baby pink kind of colour on me and is a lot more pinky than Candy K on me.
Kristen is a shade I’ve been dying to try since it came out but I didn’t want to order it incase it didn’t suit me. However I love how it looks. It is a pinky red kind of colour and is definitely not as red as Mary Jo K.
This shade is the main reason that I ordered this set, I have never tried a colour like this before but I really wanted to as I think they are the perfect Autumnal colour the wear on your lips. It is a deep red/purple colour which I love, however I’m not too sure about how it looks on me so this will definitely need to be tested more.
